Wasn't aware Sterling Landing was closed. Bummer. I have stopped by there on the way home from points further west many times, and I've even caught a few nice fish there in years past.

Probably not much to worry about from a boating perspective if they don't open it up for the opener. Just take out at South Monte or Friends' Landing, depending on the tide when you expect to get to the mouth. The mouth of the Nooch is a snaggy mess, but it's slow, and you should be able to get a driftboat down it, especially at anything other than low tide. Going down to Friends' Landing gives you a chance to fish the big flat below the mouth of the Nooch, which can be a great spot to find fresh fish...
