Most of the coffee here in Monterey is utter garbage. We have Peets. uchhh. Then Starbucks. Still echhhh. Then there is the Carmel Valley coffee roasting company, and it sucks donkey balls. There is a place downtown that is OK called plumes, but the atmosphere in there is the drizzling sh!ts. Luckily we have ACME coffee roasting company. Locally owned,he gets coffee from all over the world and roasts it in a facility nearby. It reminds me of some of the great coffee you can gvet in Frisco and Seattle and Portland. What are some of your favorites? I'll be up there next month and will need my coffee!
And before some of you come on here and say you don't drink coffee,or that I should stick to smoking crack,or why bother getting caffeined up ,you aren't going to catch anything anyway, blah blah blah ,figured I would do the preemptive deal and cut you morons off at the pass.

Folgers Classic. I make it every morning. Black of course. Take 2 insulated cups on the road everyday. Occasionally when I'm feelin spunky I sprinkle some cinnamon sugar on the grounds before hand.
Proud to still be carrying on the tradition of manhood while most of the world crumbles into a faggy liberal mess of snowflakes on a Subaru windshield.

Now why would you think any of us would say something like that...lol
Coffee we got. I generally refuse to spend multiple dollars on my morning joe, but there are some good spots around Oly. Batdorf and Bronson, Mud Bay Coffee, Olympic Crest, and Dancing Goats all come to mind...
My daily cup of choice is fresh ground Columbian whole beans from Costco made in a French press. That's more because I'm cheap than because it's the best cup around, but it works for me....

Try out Dark Timber. It's strong, but pretty damn good. A board member is the owner ya know. cough....cough....
Also, another vote for Black Rifle. Or any 100% Kona from Hawaii.
Pro tip for when in the field: the single best instant coffee ever made by man is freeze dried Kona from Hula Girl. (3) 4 oz. packs on Amazon for like $35. It's actually tastes like really good coffee should taste like.
Starbucks is garbage. I worked at corporate in dwn twn and know their operations & roasting process really well and SBX is garbage.

I'm all for buying from a board member! Kona has never impressed me much, there is a kona place right across the street from me and I never go there, overpriced and underwhelming. I really like the African coffees my friend Larry gets . He also roasts Papuan, and theres one I have from Sulawesi that is really good.

Most "Kona" is stepped on with other cheaper beans. The real deal is pretty darn good...at least it is for me.
The best I've ever had is pure Jamaican Blue Mountain, but it's very hard to find and very pricey. I've had Kopi Luwak once before, but it was pretty chitty.
Check out Dark Timber. Tony will ship to you.

No way.. I had coffee with whiskey in it one time..that was the last time too.... Warm whiskey is yuck..
Try gin. When I started putting gin a coffee I liked it, but it wasn’t long after I had to quit drinking. If it actually tasted good, I will never know...

Lol... That's one habit I never really had to deal with..thank god. Quitting smoking was hard enough.
