Before I click the link, I'm guessing this is some anti-trump voodoo chant.

Nice gotta love Peter Green! I will play, since we're going deep tracks here. Most people associate Kraftwerk with the brilliant keyboard kraut rock of the mid 70s along with Can and Neu! . This is akin to the more modern fuzz driven stoner rock of today, only it was damn near 5 decades ago.

Regarding Rodriguez,I had an ex that got really into him. Fascinating story, and glad he got a little fame in recent years.

I saw Winwood and Steely Dan just before Walter Becker died. My original vinyl of Blind Faith is one of my prized possessions. This will be in my midnight cue as well.

One of my favorite guitar solos...I was pretty ambivalent about Prince til this...

As much as my old metal roots enjoy someone ripping it apart, my tastes generally run to solos like that, or Mark Knopfler's on "Sultans of Swing", or Dickey Betts and Duane Allman's shared solo on the Allman Brothers' "Blue Sky"...

Fish on...

I like all those solos too and Prince at George's tribute totally kicked ass.

His tone is impeccable. His technique is flawless, never flashy, never over embellished, always plays for the song and not for the solo. He is tasteful, melodic, and really,as good as Jeff Beck. There,I said it. I think David Gilmour belongs in the discussion regarding greatest rock players of all time. For me anyway.

Lest you all think that I am a straight rocker in my musical tastes, I am rocking my classic country playlist as I pack up my downtown office to move it to my home office for a couple of weeks...

A couple of highlights...

And, yes, there is always a little Willie on tap...

...with Waylon? Fuckk yes.

And there always has to be a sprinkling of Johnny...this one's my favorite...

And last, but not least, the perfect "country and western song"...says so, right in the song!

...and all of that is just the beginning. There's a decent chance that if it's older than 1980 it's worth a listen...if it's new than 1990, it's probably the worst music ever created, so far as "country" music goes.

Case by case basis in the 80s wink

Fish on...

Very well said, I totally agree 100%. That's what great about music it brings People together! I'm not going lie, this last week has been pretty hard on me...I can't stop worrying about my Parent's, they're both 83 and in the strike zone. My Ipod and youtube have been a godsend.

It's been tough all over. My dad called me last night and he isn't doing well emotionally. If he gets this he is done for. Diabetic, damaged lungs, just had back surgery. I'm lucky in that I have work ahead of me,although I don't know how I'll make payroll. These people will have to work with me if they want their jobs done. Can't see my lady ,she decided to go stay with her dad and grandmother and step mother, which baffles me,but some people have a hard time being alone. As for me I am pretty content,as long as I can work a little and pay the bills.

Toddod - your last post was orgasmic. Well done ya knucklehead.

I've been listening to a lot of old school these days. Tribe, De La, PE, EPMD, Eric B, Cube, Slick Rick, Boogie Down, Pharcyde et al. The Bomb Squad for the win.

And the single greatest rap song of all time....

Illahee - you have some great taste in music dude. thumbs

Question for the board, I need to severly reduce my visual screen time for some health reasons, but I can lay in the dark, smoke a bowl and listen to some good audio stories.

I've never listened to books on tape in my life. Are there any good books on tape websites? Does Amazon Prime have BOT's that are streamable? What are some BOT titles that someone might recommend? I like history, specifically WWI and WWII, science related. Love fiction - sci-fi, horror, crime etc. Not lookin' for any sappy Steele Magnolia Little Women bullchit here.

LMK - it would be a big help.
