I'm heading over to Portland to watch my daughter play in a Volleyball tournament. Is there a good steelhead stores or anything to do with fishing available during the down times? I'm feeling my "Jones" already kick in- I need a fix.....anybody got an idea or thought?

Hey M.S. I used to live in Poteland now I'm loving it in "the Palm Springs of Wa" This isn't really down time in Portland area. If you shoot down 205 to Oregon City take 99 exit and hang a right. There you'll find Fishermans Marine(great store) and your only a block from the Clackamas River. This time of year it can surprise you with a late Steelie or early Springer. Throw spinners in the riffles below High Rocks. P.S. How's the Touchet/Tucannon looking this weekend?

Lip Rip- Will try to get you some info.asap on the Touchet/Toucannon. Since I can't fish it this weekend I'm not interested- don't mean to come across as an as*hole but this is just my way of whining. Seriously, I'll see what I can find out from some of my metalhead buddies.

Rip Lip- Report on the following rivers: 1) Touchet- a bit milky. 2) Toucannon- semi clear with fish being caught at the mouth. 3) Walla Walla- Dirty as He*L!
The Toucannon seems to be producing.

The Sportman's Show is Feb. 7th-11th. You have to see Fisherman's Marine. They are located in Delta Park and Oregon City. If you go to Oregon City stop in at BC Outpost in the same shopping center. They have everything you would want if you fish spinners including custom painting of plugs and spinner blades.

MacSteely. If you are in Gresham, the Fisherman Marine Supply in Oregon City will be closest. Still, it will be about a 25 minute drive. If you would like directions, you can e-mail me at spooled13@aol.com. Also if you need some good ideas on where to eat out there, I can probably give you a few. It does'nt sound like you will have time to fish, but the Sandy River (Oxbow Park) is about 15 minutes away. Let me know. Troy
