Any word on Springers? Anyone fishing Lewis? Cowlitz?

spoony, just want you to know that the cowlitz is closed for springers as of last saturday. Good news is if you fish down lower you will find springers. <*(()>{

sturgeon - kind of posted in a hurry and was not very clear about what i was after...sorry about that and thanks for the info. i was more interested in the prospects on the columbia at the mouths of the lewis, cowlitz, etc....any word on the big river? thanks again to all....ss

Went yesterday below the mouth of the Cowlitz and watched the bankies catch all of the fish ( we caught 8 or 9 smolt on a large spinner) We saw 5 or 6 fish of which 4 were clipped. We were fishing below the longview bridge on the OR side along the beach area.
good luck if ya go and fish shallow 6-10 ft
