I talked to the game warden saturday, and in 5 days of fishing above and below Lower Granite Dam, he knew of five fish caught. The ladder counts are not as good as they were, but there is still a couple thousand every day. The water is still pretty muddy. Why such poor catch rates? I can't claim to be an experienced salmon fisher, but nobody is catching anything! Is the off-color water that big of a factor? I'd really like to hear any kind of input or ideas from you guys that really know how to catch chinook.

okay, i'm no pro at this salmon fishing thing either. but today, at little goose, my brother and i went out and hooked 3. didn't land any of them, but it seemed like every single freaking person there (wich i would say there was about 75 people)was hooking a 'nook. it was exciting. the majority of the fish being caught were way far out past the current seem ( of course my brother and I's rod couldn't cast that far!), but they were doing awesome that way! the water down there was about 2 feet of visibility, and at one point 500 fish were passing over the dam every hour! like say, i don't know why the fishing is so crappy up there and so awesome, down here. i probably saw 50 of them caught down here today! it's a zoo though! if ya wanna fight the crowds, come down here and use a green big spin'n glow and huge glob of eggs! Good luck!
