Heard of some fish being caught, know of one for sure this past Sunday. A few at the tennis court but not enough to justify what the fish finders mark.
These fish have a serious case of "Lock Jaw"!

Ono4fish, thanks for the reply.. I know what you mean. As I recall from last year it didn't start really getting good till the end of August and in truth, it really never seemed to turn into anything big. I'm having a rough time deciding if I should fish the derby at Gorst or Pt. Defiance next weekend....PT Defiance should be good, but I imagine there will be tons of boats there.

Yea, those Gorst Kings can be pretty tough to get to bite sometimes. I think the bite overall at PD is better. More of a tide change and current shift going on than in Sinclair.

If you fish at PD, remember that there are more than the Slag pile and the Clay banks areas to fish at. Try Pt. Dalco, QuarterMaster harbor, over on the Gig Harbor side up and down Sunrise beach and Pt. Evans. These areas can be real good this time of year, with less pressure (that's spelled c-o-m-p-e-t-i-t-i-o-n)! smile

Good Luck!
