Ooops....

They're in there. I was 3 for 4 by 8:00 and decided being home in time to have a hot breakfast with the family and 3 fish in the bag was a decent day.

Thanks for the report, Skywalker. My trip
has been delayed until Monday. My son and I
fished the salt today and did good on slivers. smile smile smile

Lots of scabby bucks out there..Most fish are colored, but there are some brighter ones coming in on tide changes. Im already sick of the humps, heard rumors of a silver caught! Cant wait for those chromers, in the mean time have fun with the humps. =)

Just pinks, and some of the bucks are gettin' kinda lumpy.....DOH! That reminds me, I gotta go check the smoker!

The bite ended when the water dropped, and when I went down today (water was 3 feet lower), not much happening. Need that push from the tide, I guess.

My son Tony and I were on the Sky at Sultan this morning. A really good bunch of fresh humpies were there too! Actually we got there at the end of the real action, but still got 3, two hens and a buck. The hens were bright the buck was humped and dark. Only kept one hen, she's in the fridge getting ready for the smoker right now. The high tide this morning brought them in, they scoot right through though. I think it only takes those humps about 2 or 3 hours to get to the Sultan area after a full high tide. Not too crowded, but more than enough snaggers draging the deep hole!

I don't know why I'm surprised to hear that, except that I'm surprised they have the
b@!!$ to do it so blatantly. Actually I went by Thomas Eddy on Friday (before the opener) and the place was packed, and the first two guys I watched were both tossing pink buzzbombs with treble hooks. Are they stupid, or just (*)'s?

Fished with Cigar yesterday and caught humpies until we were too tired to catch any more. I came up with an innovative new way to catch humpies that breaks the cast and retrieve monotony. We didn't even use any bait of any kind which was nice. Out of the 50+ fish we landed, there were only a handful of bright ones. You want bright humpies, then go to the Skagit or stay way low on the Snohomish. The Sky humpies are getting pretty mangy already.

Anybody get any humpies with sea lice on 'em? Seemed like most of the humpies are hanging out in the lower river and then just kind of moving through at their leisure. Too bad they don't have their tennis shoes on like the skait humpoids do.

We were out Saturday afternoon when one of the showers went through. It actually started to rain Honeybees. Poor suckers got so cold they were just falling out of the sky. My boat must have looked like an Aircraft Carrier as we had two or three dozen just float on in. No stings, I felt a little sorry for 'em.
Fished out of Mukilteo Sunday afternoon and got Skunked! Didn't think that was even possible with the way they were biting a while ago. Maybe we just eek

Departed Mukilteo Monday...it was rough in the early a.m. Fished the north side by the old oil docks - Hooked a chrome pink there. Went south towards shipwreck and got blown by 4 ft wind waves all the way to possesion with some nasty rain. Decided to seek shelter up the Snohomish and ended up camping out there above Lowell until a little after noon. By then our arms were sore from hooking GREEN humpies with our pink spoons plunked off a spreader bar. Weather cleared up so we headed back out on the sound to shipwreck and found the bite slow. We drifted the incoming tide to mukilteo and things picked up late in the evening around high tide. We limmited easy on chrome pinks. They were jumping and flopping everywhere trying to get rid of the lice.

Tuesday afternoon, dropped in at Mukilteo. Boat ramp fishermen regulars said they had got fish on the low slack. We went south towards shipwreck and once again the wind picked up. We fished the whitecaps south and ended up picking up 3 nice chrome pinks around high tide after the wind died down.

Some pinks are still out there in the sound. Not a whole lot, but there some. Silvers are next! And I understand theres a whole bunch coming!

Hooked up 3 limits on Monday, didn't see any "dark" fish. I imagine without rain they will turn dark pretty fast until the next push.

Kid Sauk, were you in a boat? Just curious didn't see too many boats on Monday, thought I might have seen ya.

Doubletake,

I fished with the Kid Monday, and we floated
the Sky into the Snohonish down to Douglas Bar but spent most of the day in the lower Sky. It's time to hit the salt, the BIG silvers are in at Edmonds.

Doubletake,

We fished out of my boat on Monday. It is a black Thor Built drift boat. I will be out there again this weekend. Say hello if you see us. I think I remember your sled as I've seen it on the Snocrummy. Justin

Remember, Sparkey, that my arms are about as big around as your legs so I think they can handle it wink
