With the events of this week, I must admit that I really don't give a damn about our TV show right now.

However, maybe by Sunday afternoon it might make for a decent half-hour escape.

Our show this weekend is from the Kenai Peninsula. The first half is halibut in Cook Inlet and the second half is coho fishing on the Kasilof with the one and only Bob Ball. KVOS TV12 at 1:30 PM on Sunday.

To my knowledge, no AT&T cable systems carry KVOS. I think Marysville is about as far South as KVOS goes via cable - although if you have a plain ol' cable antennae, you might be surprised. I've heard of people near Oregon who can pick it up on antennae.

However....if you have internet access and Real Player (free download I think), you can watch our shows via the internet at www.kvnlive.com I watched it a couple weeks ago on a 56K modem and it was pretty good audio and video. I would imagine that the video portion would be pretty darn herky-jerky on a 28K modem. Here are the times we're on KVN (both their station and their web broadcast) according to their website (I've converted these to Pacific Time):

Mon 2:30 PM
Wed 10:30 PM
Thu 6:30 PM
Sat 4:30 AM (that sucks)
Sat 1:30 PM
Sun 10:30 PM

Yes, in central and southern Puget Sound we are unable to get "fisherman's heaven" and other good fishing shows that are on KVOS. I wonder if we could do a "e-petition" requesting that these shows be carried on outdoor life or fox sports NW or some other cable channel?

I wish. We can't afford to be on those stations...they charge so much for their airtime (I think Fox Sports NW is about $40,000 per year!). For us to do that, we'd have to charge our sponsors a TON. If we charged our sponsors a TON, they'd want lots more exposure in each show (and rightly so for a TON of money) and then we'd just have another infomercial that gives outdoor shows a bad name. Thanks for your interest!

TVhost, that all makes sense, I guess. It just seems strange that a show like "Fishing with Shelly & Courtney" which is about BC saltwater fishing, is boadcast in Florida but not in Seattle confused

Shelley and Courtney used to be on Fox Sports NW. I heard through the grapevine that there was some disagreement between them and FSN about how much their airtime was worth. Our sponsors are mostly NW companies and it doesn't do them much good to be on in other areas (costs too much to ship a Lavro driftboat to the East Coast) so we concentrate on our local area. However, we are slowly growing our reach North, South, and East.
