cool With relationship of where to go, check this site out. www.mapquest.com Once one figures out where to go, you can enter an address or the city or town or zip code and it will map out a route for you or at least the roads to use. Even some street detail in municipalities. You can zoom in and out and move around in four directions of the compass and follow a river. Found a few holes this way without burning the gas.

Eggs the best fishin and access is to the east of HWY 101 in fact I just looked at the regs and its closed to salmon fishin upstream of the HWY 101 bridge. For the first timer I suggest you just get a good map and head over there. You'll see where everyones parking to acess the river so just follow the crowd. Exploring and learning a new rivers part of fishin. Be prepared for snaggers in force and rude behaviour to go with it. These fish should nail good eggs and assorted vibrax spinners. Try fresh eggs from the fish you catch....hard to keep on the hook unless your real careful but they really chomp on them. LOL!

I DON'T THINK I TRIED ANY VIBRAX SPINNERS IN THE SKOK.THE NON-BUOYANT LURE RESTRICTION IS IN EFFECT THERE WHICH TO MY UNDERSTANDING INCLUDES SPINNERS OR SPOONS.DON'T BOTHER WITH THE QUILL UNLESS YOUR GOING FOR C&R THE FISH RATIO IS EASILY 100 CHUMS FOR EVERY SILVER AND YOU HAVE TO GO THROUGH A FEW OF THOSE TO FIND A KEEPER

Chromedomehunter you can still use spinners and spoons with single barbless hooks. Also there is a maximim 3/4" gap rule on the hook. For Vibraxes this allows you to use up to a #5 with a barbless siwash hook. Have to agree the Quill is pretty much over for this year.
