Last Sunday 10/14, we were camped at the Mora campground. We had been floating the river and parked the drift boat on shore, in front of the campground. We were gone for 20-30 minutes for lunch. When we got back a custom built GL3 1143, with a Calcuta 151 were missing. This was the only rod that didn't have any writing on it. It also had a special reel seat on it, you could feel the exposed blank in front of the trigger. My Uncle's friends who were fishing down river had seen two indian netters in a boat with a Mariner prop motor parked near the boat. They wre both were bright yellow gloves. We went and talked to the park ranger, the La Push police, and the tribal fish cop but nothing was done about it. This combo is brand new, my uncle just finished building the rod two weeks ago, and the reel was purchased 3 weeks ago.

There is a Reward for the return of the rod and reel, no questions asked.

Any info please call (360) 779-5994 ask for Clay

Ill keep my eye out. You might want to try your home owners insurance and see if they will cover it. As far as your rod getting stolen in Mora that means the La Push Police cant help you as it is out of their jurisdiction, it falls in the hands of the park service. I will keep my eye out.

I'm sorry to hear about that, that sucks. A word to the wise dont ever leave any rods out of view anywhere especially the coast. I too have been ripped of on the duc. 3 rods were LOCKED in my truck. My rear window was kicked in.............end of story. Also my black truck was spray painted my someone at the barkhole one spring with white paint. Its pretty ****ty you cant trust your belongings ANYWHERE.

Rich G,

My uncle tried to use his home owners insurance, but the deductable is $500. He talked to the park ranger, they have a reward out for the rod as well. This has taught us a valuable lesson not to leave the rods in the boat. wink
