My brother just rolled into town and we're looking at a float trip down the Queets. Anybody out there know what kind of shape the rivers in?

Here's a accurrate report from saturday the 20th.The river was runnin between 2,500 & 3,000 cfs. There were ten to twelve boats down stream from us and ten to twelve boats behind us.Lot's of pressure from what I saw.
The visability was 1.5 to 2 feet with a rare tea stained color for the that system.
As far as the fishin, let's say I've had better day's but all in all it was a little productive considering the pressure it received. The king's had lot's of color and the coho were bright.Good luck,

I won't reveal that!!.That takes some gettin
out there and dealing with the eliments that are delt to you.It takes awhile to figure that stuff out with countless times of 3.5 hour drives just to find out the worse. The river levels on the net help you out some there is still some tweeking to be done to in sure you of good conditions.Good luck,

Concerning optimal flows, we were one of the many boats out Saturday when it was 2500 to 3000 cfs and we typically like it a little higher which gets the fish moving a little more and biting better. At least 4000 would be nice. Yes the tea colored water was not the norm. Usually it's that glacial clay blue grey with a foot or so of vis. wink wink
