Well, after spending a half billion on a new stadium, the M's CHOKED again. Do you think the Seahawks will make it to the AFC championship and choke also? How much is thier stadium costing again? Not enough to make it into the playoffs evidently.... Do you think they will build a new Ice Hockey rink for the T-birds? And what's next for the Sonics??????? UNREAL!!!!!!!!!!

Been a fan for many years but they did choke at the end. Very disappointing to win all those games and series during the regular season but just like all the other times Seattles pro teams can't win when it counts the most!!!

Wow, go back to California. Start of this year no one thought the M's were gonna do anything. I really thought the new stadium was a guarantee we would win it, waa waa waa. Bunch of babies.

I'm still a fan, despite the fact they completely choked. Being a fan, I can admit the team played like crap. Hell, it looked like spring training almost. In the post season, Dan Wilson couldn't throw a base runner out at second if his life depended on it, Boone, Olerud, and Buhner were in complete slumps until Game 3 of the ALCS. They made way too many defensive mistakes, and the pitching was lackluster. However, the umpires did everything they could to make sure the Yankees would win. I'm tempted to write to MLB and file a complaint on those umps. Everytime a Mariner twitched their bat after a ball, one of the base umps would say he swung but when Jeter brings his bat 6 inches across the plate, he didn't go. It was BS.

Jacob, I agree with your sentiments regarding the officiating. I wonder if the umps felt sorry for the city and somehow thought they were doing the patriotic thing by helping NYC.

The Yankees are tough.Why do you think they have won the World Series the last 3 years? The Mariners were great to watch this year despite not making it all the way. As far as the officials go........I didn't see the umpire hit any home runs in the bottom of the 9th.

Hey SQ, Winning has EVERYTHING to do with the cost of the stadiums. Do you really think people would wanted a new stadium if they were still playing like a new franchise? Go look at the attendance at the begining of the season. They were not consistantly selling out the games until after the All-Star break. Bottom line people want to see winners, not the Mariners of old. I am a Mariners fan and I have stuck with thru all the s--- years. Having to stand up for them last year when the didn't even make a good showing in the ALCS. NOW IT'S MY TIME TO VENT!!!!!!

Destiny lost to a Dynasty in the end. The Yankees are a clutch team and I told you that Osprey...even though I cannot stand them. I respect how they can win and keep on doing it. It's pretty easy to beat down everybody if the majority of your team is future hall-of-famers.

Don't worry, I'm venting too. Now that I have vented, let me humbley say, Go Yankees. Win it for your city, y'all deserve it and your fans deserve it.
