In this year of record sized coho (silvers) this one tops the charts. But it wasn't sport caught. It was caught in Oregon's NF Clackamas River fish trap where they separate out hatchery fish on that tributary and release the natives (which this fish is) on up this spawning creek. Here is a picture of the monster; albeit colored up, a would be world record had someone caught it. It measured 41.2" long with 24.1" girth = 30.6 lbs. It's held by fish bio Doug Cramer.

There was a reported 24 1/2 pounder caught on the outer OP and Rich G caught a 23+ pounder (pic in another thread here) on the Duc. Is there a 25 to 30 lb. 'ho or two headin for the 'Sop guys?

HOLY SMOKES! That thing is so big it's scary. You could hook that baby over your closet rod and hang it.

I took a closer look and with those big teeth along with a hook nose bigger than *****'s, I bet he will get his pick of the hottie 'hos to spawn with! What other buck is going to challenge him for the best 'ho babes?

Edit: I didn't know her name was programmed into the dirty word filter. Funny!

Hey RT. The silvers this yeear are huge. I'm hoping to get some pics of silvers we caught this last week on my fishing vacation. They averaged in upper teens. I lost a couple in the 20# range. Did land a 17 and 15 with alot of teens cauught by many. The rivers for the floatila have plenty f silvers coming. I have a zipperlip (and since you work for STSnow I WON'T be telling you of smile ). I've caught many fish in the 15-22lb range thee in the last 20 years. Heck, I've seen coho in the upper 20's pulled out of the indiian's nets on this river. I'm thinking the way fishing is this year maybe a 30# will be pulled out of it. You never know. And no guys, I won't even give you a hint where this river is. :)0

Hey Jerry, I already fished that system zipper with Joe. He asked me not to post or write about it, and you haven't seen anything written! And won't! I fished another zipper on the OP a couple weeks ago with Joe and we hooked close to 30 silvers/chinooks and I didn't and wouldn't post about it. I also have a lot of zipperlip streams that will never get publicized. So give me a little credit on that subject. wink ... As for F III, 15 lb. line should be plenty?

That's a dandy but at 30.5 it would be 3 lbs. shy of the world record caught in NY a few years ago.

I'm just giving you a hard time Steve (hence the smiley face). But my zipper isn't part of a system smile.

Yeah, I've fished most of the O.P. aat one time or another. Couldn't name you all the names of the creeks, but could sure show you them. Too bad most of them have been so overfished they're pretty much closed.

Here's a sport caught one from somewhere out this way ... not 30. But perhaps the biggest clipped fish I have personally seen (heard of one bigger). I'd like to have this one on MY wall smile

Now that's a beeeeeeyotch Bob!!! Wow. Looks at least mid-twenties and mint bright. I'd take it over that 30 semi-darkie anytime, despite it's huge size. ...

So TM, you've fished all those WA rivers before me, eh? No wonder I get skunked sometimes up there. wink Glad you haven't been with my women before me. eek laugh

Can we say replica wall-mount that bad boy? Dwarfs my 20 pounder and it was a nate.

The fish above in the pic is just plain HUUUUUUUUGE for a hatchery silver....or a silver for that matter.

Congrats! eek
