Had an absolute blast up there Saturday fishing for those ugly chums. First time I have ever done this and I have to say that everyone there was in a great mood.

You Washington Boy's that fish this area are first class. When lines were tangled there were lots of "sorry's" and "thats ok" exchanges. Never heard an angry word the whole time. KUDOS to you folks up there.

Hooked a lot of fish and had a lot of fun. Weather was great after a brief morning shower. Just an awesome week end.

Oh, fair hooked about 75 fish for the two days. Fouled about 25. laugh

Unfortunatly the nets are in today and Thursday. mad The tribes are keeping only the hens and throwing the bucks back in. Maybe all these fish they kill could be towed out to excellent crabbing water and dumped. That way they don't go to waste. 1.9 million fish. Wow!

My wife and I fished Hoodsport Sun. afternoon and we had a great time also. It was our first time out there so we wern't sure what to expect. It was crowded but most people were very friendly and easy to fish around. Contrary to what I've heard, I didn't see any intentional snagging or snagging rigs. We probably caught between 15 and 20 fish each in about 3 1/2 hours. All except maybe 3 or 4 were hooked in the mouth. I didn't see a problem getting these fish to bite at all. Thanks for all the great techniques described here on this BB. Since we have a 9Mo. old daughter, it is a rare treat for us to get out and go fishing together. Thanks to all the advice here, it was an incredible experience!!

Sorry to here about the jerks Auntie M. That really stinks.

Hey Kunan! I may have seen you out there. Now don't take this wrong because it is a man thing to notice lovely ladies, but was your wife wearing a headband or a yellow jacket? If so then I did see you two there. Glad to hear you had a great time.

I understand what you mean by having a little one around. I have a two year old that put a little kink in the fishing for the 1st year. (2 now). But they are worth it. Enjoy your times when you can get away with or without the wee one.

Hoodsport is a great little filler fishery to go to when you want quantity of hookups. Again, I was impressed with everyone I fished around.

OK guys, I've been out of commision for the past few months, but it looks as though I'm finally going to have some time to fish again.... How much longer will the Skok be good for the dogs? Is the run just starting or is it about over? With a little luck, I wont have to work this weekend and will be able to go get a little fishing in. Thanks for the help.

LZZ, the Skok looked like is was doing ok on Sunday pm. The fish are just coming in but there are a ton of them. Seems like the report I heard was they arrived in force last Wednesday or so at Hoodsport.

As far as the nets they are in every Tuesday and Thursday. So Monday would be a real good time to go. That would give Fri, Sat and Sun to fill the fish back in.

I may go again on Saturday but it depends on the reports that I get on Friday from the Hatchery #.

Also, check the creeks on the way to Hoodsport. Looks like there are a lot of fisherman on them right now.

Sorry Bob, did'nt mean to turn your stomach. Chums, shad, squaw fish, carp, and the undesirable eatable fish I just release them. I might try something once just to say I had but if I don't like em they go back.

I have heard that chums are ok smoked but never tried them. May just have to keep one to spite you. Smoke it and give it to you as a Christmas present. Note: I will tell you it's Coho eek

Kunan, women in neoprems, yep that's a turn on. Especially if they look good. It's a great distraction when the fish aren't biting, but it can also make you miss a fish too. wink Glad you and the little lady had a great time there. Enjoy the little one and be sure the tyke knows how to handle a rod when the time comes. My youngest is now two and loves to get into the boats in the garage and break out the little zebcos off the wall. He also loves those little bassmaster games. He already yells out "lets go fishing" and "fish on!". My other two love to fish but don't want to go if their buddies are in town.

Hey Bob, I hear the Tribes are netting today. I am sure that they would love to give you a dead buck or four. Four is the limit right eek
