You can say all you want about this weekends game. One thing you have to remember is that this is a "rebuilding" year for the Dawgs. I remember seeing one the news article about how badd a@# the Beaves were supposed to be this year??? Why don't you put up a post when you Beavs start playing .500?

A soph QB, young REC's the Dawgs were supposed to go at best 8-4 to 7-5.....I'll take that any year after loosing one of the best QB's UW has ever had. So far this year they have done far better that expected, it has been thought all along that the next two years the Dawgs will atop the PAC10....Again...

So, go ahead and gloat for now....Just remember you STILL live in BOregon and you will always be "you know, the state by Washington".

Dennis Erickson's Miami Hurricanes were voted the national champion in Jan 1992. UW has not won a men's team NCAA championship according to www.pac10.org.

Any college football fan knows that the 1991 football championship was "split" between the Hurricanes and the Huskies. There were two polls back then that decided the champion and one favored Miami and the other favored the Huskies.

Steelheadman, don't tell me that you are that much of an idiot, I still have the S.I and newspaper that says UofW and Miami split 1991 national title, the Dawgs won the coaches poll, ( which would be more credible) and the caines won the writers poll, ( which would be all those east coast votes)

This was a rebuilding year for my Dawgs and they have showed a lot of guts and poise for such a young group.
The year is far from over,this week we get to rain on the Parade of the Cougs,and then we go to Miami and show a national TV crowd just how good we are.
At least we won't have to worry about the Beavers making fools of them selves on National TV this year.............Os

I have to agree with O's on this one, Thankgod the rest of the country won't have to witness that OSU **** again on TV like they did last year. God If I was from that school or even that state I would still be under the rock that I would have had to crawl under to avoid the embarrassment of being associated with that bunch of delinquents. It just Shows how class less Dennis Erickson is, he has no dicipline, no control over his team, and everytime they do manage a win they act like they have never won before. actually they act like they are all running away from work release, well actually most of them are so I guess that is natural for them.

The fact that I moved out of Oregon (giving up my instate tuition to pay out-of-state) to go to school at the UW kinda sums up my feelings on this one

I also recall lots of the WSU students road-tripping to the UW ... never seemed to happen the other way around though
