I'd highly tell you no on that sinker. Those cheapos DO NOT cut water at all. You get sucked into a current and you won't be going anywhere soon. They're great for slack water but fighting currents and you'll be SOL. Now, if you put a set of 10' oars on tha ouutcast, then you'll haave enough leverage to pull the boat out of the current. I've put in before near the slag pile and almost didn't make it back. Now if I wuolda had a kayak I could've cut the water enough to fight the current.

St69, thanks for the reply on that one.
Things sure look like they'd cut the water. But having never been on one I have no friggin clue. LOL.
HHHmmmm, back to the drawing board.

Bucks Bags out of Boise Idaho seems to be up and up---------bought a 8 footer and the only complaint i have is that it would be awsome with 7 foot oars instead of the six---even have an anchor system on it and it works well except for the sway ---gunny sack or somethin out front for draft would solve that i think---
Happy shoppin

Very important - catarafts are for sissies. Real men row driftboats! Those who can't row use soft cats so they don't flip or damage drift boats. They tremble at the thought. ...

JK - just trying out my A n g y impression. Os and St69 are cool cats, and their cats are cool. laugh ... Hey Os, how about titanium frames? On top notch Wings? Oooooweee! It would be great if titanium weren't so expensive; geez, what they could do with sleds, driftboats, and cat frames, eh? smile

Thanks again. It would be kinda neat to fish off of them, but I think I would just float down the rivers in one and find good spots to pull the boat up to the bank and fish. That brings up another question, would I be trespassing if I pulled a cataraft (or driftboat, like some of you probably do) up to the edge of the shore and fished, standing in the water, below private property on a river?
