Hatchery needs are around 1000, and estimates put 9,000 to 12,000 fish in the river this summer.

That's 8-11,000 for us and the Indians. By my reckoning, that would be about one per boat on opening weekend.

Since I have a cabin there, I'll give it a shot again...sure can be fun!

hey todd,
jus wondering when does most of the peak run start on the icicle, im here in idaho hoping for a springer but it seems to me i have missed it by a few short weeks, where is the icicle anyways? i have heard of it many times mentioned here on the bb.. thanks **berkley boy**

The Icicle is in Leavenworth off of Highway 2. The fishing starts the first or second week of June. If you're looking for solitude, this is not the river to fish. It really gets packed with boats when the fish are in.
