Ahhh, the Peninsula regulations are back to normal save for a closure above the Soldotna Bridge on the Kenai for king fishing (which should be there anyhow 'til mid-month).

The Kenai guides have gone back to the "big river" and have good fishing which should keep them occupied for a bit laugh :p

The Kasilof second-run fish may be showing a little early as it's providing better-than average fishing for this early in the month (I had two rods and 11 kings to the boat yesterday ... that should only get better laugh )

The sun is shining

And best of all, I had the day off and just got home from playing golf ... Dr. Leung fixed that back but good smile

Hope all are enjoying similar fortunes in your fisheries!

Twilight starts at 9PM smile

I could only wish that I shot a 72 or 73 my first rounds back at it, even on these courses. My distance has returned, but let's say the accuracy still needs a little fine tuning laugh

Pix from the openers??

Here's a couple of the fellas that fp (or fp2, in the summer) found for some of our fellas on Tuesday's opener on the Kenai.

And here's one from their Kasilof trip the day prior: just as big and only two other boats on the entire river smile

SV ... Things should only get better, although most of the fisheries up here are dependant on the netting for sockeye, and with their extremely early arrival, I'm honestly not sure what to expect with the netting schedules.

Hawk's gonna be here too the entire third week smile

Looking forward to it. I'm bring about 200 ibuprofen tabs for the hand and wrists.

I have packed, re-packed, and re-re- packed. Can't wait to get my feet wet, and cahse those reds.

Bob: Do me a favor and tie up a couple of those chromer kings for us. be prepared for a big surprise from the Salmon Squad. It's a definite photo opportunity.

All you steelhead clones are just going to have to wait for a digi pic in a few weeks. Out

Very nice. My nephew who is also a guide on the penninsula had a client release a 70 pound hen a few days ago on the Kenai. He was looking for a trophy!!! Evidently it was not big enough.
