I'm thinking about going out in the morning as long as the wind does not pick-up over night and thought I would see if any one was doing good at either place. I will be in a boat with downriggin gear. Any suggestions or tips?
Thanks,

their getting bigger fish at West Pt. But if ya don't want to go across, I'd do Pt.Monroe and
if that doesn't pan out skip Pt. Jefferson and troll the deeper water (shipping lanes ) on up to Kingston. I saw some nice big schools out in the middle while crossing on the Ferry.

AppleTree to Jeff Head producing consistently over the last month for me. Out this morning at 8am in at 9am with a typical 10lb sea run silver with bait in it's belly. I have mainly stayed in close, but taken fish everywhere in this stretch. Trolling with Hot spot & squid till I find 'em and fishing buzz bombs when the conditions look right. Most at the 40 ft depth range. Nothing unusal. MHO, there are fish are passing by wherever you want to go right now. My plan: stay close to home, keep the bait in the water and let 'em come to papa.
Good luck.

Guess I should have went to Jeff head after all.
Fished PNP and Pilot Point from 830 till 1100 and nothing but shakers, actually snagged some herring and candle fish, that was a first. Sounds like I may have been to deep though, I fished from 90-250 ft of water, never deeper then 80 feet of wire out. Saw one fish on, looked good, but must have been a king as the net never moved.
Did see several caught at the beach though.
