Sounds like efforts are paying off..... Hatcheries already got a few. This was unheard of 5 years ago.......

Last year the hatchery received something like 150 fish. The year prior they received half that. The year before was even less. Don't get me wrong. There have always been steelies in the Puyallup. Improvements are taking place and there are simply more fish than there have been in quite a while. Anything over a couple hundred (which sounds like a possibility now) is worth checking out.

I don't think PEW will be anything like it used to be.... Back in the mid 70's (when I hit double digits in age), I remember my uncle and I having limits within an hour at the Sh!t House Hole (Antons).. Believe it or not, the PEW and the GREEN used to be the Number 1 and 2 rivers in the state...

There is hope though... Give it a couple more years

You can thank Broddie Antipa for the changes. He is the complex manager and has been doing good things. Look for improvements on the green too.
