I can't beleive it took this long for the neocons to attack his record. "Authentic war heroes (including McCain) often play down their own heroism. In any event, what we know about Murtha, McCain, Kerry and, yes, Bailey, is that they served in combat in Vietnam. What we know about Bush and Vice President Cheney ("I had other priorities in the '60s than military service'') is that they didn't." "What's maddening here is the unblushing hypocrisy of the right wing and the way it circulates -- usually through Web sites or talk radio -- personal vilification to abort honest political debate." And as they say "the rest of the story" http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/01/16/AR2006011600913.html

So attacking the president and challenging his record when you yourself have never been president is not the definition of hypocrisy?
So by your definition how can you challenge anything you yourself have not done? Or is the military a sacred cow?

I served in Viet Nam and I think the current CIC and his monkeyhumpers don't really care what happens as long as their agenda is followed. Period. If anyone disagrees with them they attack and don't let the truth get in the way. Keep drinking the koolaid, tk. If you had enough fortitude to follow the members of your family into the military, you might have something to listen to but as it stands now you are the same as every other chickenhawk.

It works like this. You ladies don't get to say when where why or how others exercise their right to free speech. No one cares what you think. You are little people with even smaller minds. Get over yourselves.

I don't think he ever had any cool. He's the always picked on in school type.
So, when will the attacks on Colin Powell start? WMD speech 'lowest point in my life' Questions bypassing court on eavesdropping. Flat out got it wrong with Iraq.

I heard Colin Powell speak the other night on the BBC and he stood up for the adminstration on its decision to go into Iraq but they did so on flawed intelligence (brought to you by Bushco). He did so when the interviewer asked him if he was going to apologize to the world for lying about the reasons for going to war in Iraq when he addressed the U.N. He now has to defend the adminstration because he is cupable also. To admit anything else would also cast himself in a bad light

Colin Powell is the ultimate company man. If he says anything against the company now it's to make himself look good. If Dumbya & Co had 60% approval ratings, Colin Powell would be right out there touting the company line.

More on the story from the New York Times. http://www.nytimes.com/2006/01/18/opinion/18webb.html?th&emc=th "The political tactic of playing up the soldiers on the battlefield while tearing down the reputations of veterans who oppose them could eventually cost the Republicans dearly. It may be one reason that a preponderance of the Iraq war veterans who thus far have decided to run for office are doing so as Democrats. A young American now serving in Iraq might rightly wonder whether his or her service will be deliberately misconstrued 20 years from now, in the next rendition of politically motivated spinmeisters who never had the courage to step forward and put their own lives on the line.

I am a Marine currently serving at 4th Marine Aircraft Wing in New Orleans. Right now my fellow Marines and I are watching as we slowly slouch towards war with Iran. If deployed to the area, I promise you this: we will fight together, and we will fight valiantly. We will fight for those we do not know and for a cause we might not share. But we will fight. And when we come home, we may continue our fight, in the halls of power, the state capitols, and DC, if we so choose. We have earned it in blood and sweat. No one, and I mean no one, has the right to impugn our service, or our credentials without expecting a defense. I am defending Mr. Murtha because he did in Vietnam what others would not do. And I thank God for giving me the chance to make my mark as he has. And when I come home, will you be there to slander me too?

... when where why or how others exercise their right to free speech. Typical of the mentally diseased (by his own admission of extensive counseling) neocon. Our freedom of speech is a legal matter; no one here is trying to deny that to anyone. Slander and character assasination for political gain are moral issues. Anyone not finding it morally repugnant that the GOP's ambition is to "Swiftboat" every dissenter has severe sociopathic tendencies. Since Napoleon's already in professional care, I suggest he continues treatment and perhaps investigate institutionalization for long term care and protection from himself.

Hey TK, doesn't it ever get boring knowing that you can easily troll in a fleet of phish at your whim? You don't even need bait. Just some semi-flashy stuff and they come a runnin'! I'm pretty sure TK really stands for Trolling King. TK is Da Man!

Sheesh, if that's his attempt at trolling ... what a cracker.
All he succeeds in doing is have his quarry slap him up'side the head and make him look like an idiot.

You girls love attacking anyone who does not agree with you but when the tables are turned you cry like the little Puzzies you show your selves to be. Maybe you can all get together pound on a drum sing some negro spiritals and have a candle light vigil.
