Can be very productive, with consideribly less people around. Ive only done the glowball thing, but have heard of lighted kwikfish and other lures that people swear by. And no it doesnt have to be a full moon but it sure does help to see a few things.

Yes it works. Check the regs to make sure it's legal on your river. Get some glow corkies and a flasher to charge them and give it a try.

You have never truely fished until you've landed a chromer in pitch black

Best "flasher" is a small inexpensive electronic camera flash. You can pick up a basic manual flash from a photo store and maybe some of the big tackle shops like Sportco. They really light up the glo stuff. I'll even use em on salmon plugs that are going deep early and late. You can also use a point and shot camera without the film if you have one.

Night fishing, usually done at terminal areas like Blue Cr. on the Cow can be very productive on any kind of night. Some love it, but for me it's like smoking in the dark. Not the quite the same as playing a fish in the day. But hey, you fish when you can, right. Have fun. thumbs

Night fishing is a lot of fun... Places like blue creek are best IMO to bank fish during the night because you can pretty much fish alone, or find some place where no one is fishing..
I went glow balling tonight at the cowlitz i arrived at the river around 10pm fish near a few people until about 12:00am then the people started to leave.. at 1am i was all alone fishing smile smile after the people left i hooked two steelies but luck wasnt on my side tonight as i lost both fish.

It's fun.. try it smile

depending on where you live the nooch is fun glow balling.. i usually fish the nooch below black creek when glow balling..

the only downside about glowballing places like the cowlitz is since not very many people are around you have to be worried about your car/truck. this summer i had about 1,200 dollars worth of stuff stolen out of my car at the blue creek parking lot..
ah well that isnt going to stop me from going because well theres nothing of value left in my car.. well its 5am so i better get some sleep smile

Thanks for the report FS. The only bad thing about having all that room on the bank to your self is that you get spoiled. moose TW
