Had an Abu G. 6000 (almost new) given to me and the drag barely works, took it apart to look . Have had it apart and back together numerous times and have got an exploded view off the internet but still can't get it to reel. Suggestions on where I can take it to have it looked at and fixed. I live in Duvall, any thoughts?

I believe Johns Tackle on Broadway in Everett is also a ABU Garcia warranty repair station. He also does Shimano.

Send it to pure fishing . They should get it turned around in a week or less if the local places quote you a longer time period.

I have sent all my reels to them for repair, great service on warranty items (never a complaint) and when the items were no repairable, I got new ones.

This is the official website for Abu, Fenwick, Berkley, etc. Costs about $5.50 to send a reel there by priority mail.

Did you try cranking down the drag a bit? It won't reel if the drag is too loose.
