Heading up north to fish for dollies. Maybe a far few and in-between IRONHEAD also if I'm lucky enough. My question is which river would be the best bet. Also I'm going to be floating it in a D-B. THANKS !!! In advance.

We fished the Skagit on the 1st,and with 4 of us fishing,we probably caught and released over 30 Dollie's. I caught the 3-4 biggest, they were all 20-24".

The best bet is going to be the skagit right now, thats where I would fish if I was going out for dollies, fish up from howard miller steelhead park in rockport, not many below that point that are active as far as I can tell. There are some real nice fish in there, some going 5-6 pounds. But remember you gotta c & r on the dollies, that provides us with something fun to catch when there arent many steelies around.

are you familar with the Sauk?,it can be quite a tricky river to float, lot's of interesting challengeing parts,I always recommend going with somebody with lot's of expierence the first time, the river course changes many times a year, good luck.be safe
