I am planning on fishing it with WSU buddy this weekend. Can any of you tell me what conditionsa nd stuff to expect as of lately. Thanks and email me if you like.

You'll have to call information, but when I went to school over there and fished it, I usually called Boggan's Oasis right near the hatchery for up to date river conditions. Being that there's little snow in the mountains, I would imagine the water should be relatively clear.

A buddy of mine fished it a couple days ago and caught five in about 4 hours of fishing. I guess the water is in perfect condition right now. I know a couple others headed over there this weekend. Good luck.

The current flow on the Ronde is 2300 cfs. This should be great for fishing this weekend.


JSTEEL

The river was running about 8,000 several days ago but has come down nicely. It is curently just under 2200. This should have moved some of the cottonwood fish ino the system. There are lot's of fish all over the river (Mostly Oregon fish) mixed in with the wild fish. River should be in excellent shape but you might want to give Boggans a call at (509) 256-3372. I will be fishing it with three buddies Feb. 15-18 days. Best of luck to you.

Just got back from the Grande Rhonde. My buddy and I fished on the opposite side of the acclimation pond. We caught 6 fish, 4-8 lb range. River looks great and was slowly going down. Spoke to a few drift boats going by and they were catching fish too. Good Luck.
