Hello everyone,
I am new to the board here and I have been steelheading for about ten years. I would like to get involved with a responsible, common sense based steelhead organization. I am NOT a tree hugger and I would like to avoid any groups with hidden anti-growth or liberal social agendas. I have been fishing since I was a young boy and I want to ensure healthy steelhead runs for the future. Sorry if it sounds a little soap-boxish but thats how I feel. THANKS! (Oh, and if the Seahawks could pick up Denard Walker that would be good too.)

Yes, they do need a ref over on "Confused", when you bring up nets and the Tribes' fishing rights people get FIRED up. Maybe a less lively topic like abortion or religion is in order.

Sorry, but there's common sense and steelhead organizations are mutually exclusive. We're passionate about steelhead, and it's well known that passion and common sense have never been a good fit. But the Wild Steelhead Coalition is a cause that is direct and uncomplicated. Good people, too.
