Im gonna have a rainshadow1264 10.5 rod built for tossing floats, just wondering if anyone out there has one and what they think
of it? Ive got the 1025c rainshadow and think it is one sweet rod.

Chrome - I just picked up a beautiful hand crafted Rainshadow 1264 from Northwest Custom Rods yesterday. It has blue zirconium guides wrapped with matching thread with my name in gold near the reel seat.

Nicest rod I've ever had. Perfect for float fishing for the big nates and also a nice sensitive rod for drift fishing the larger rivers.
Give NCR a call (253-709-1848) and see what they can due with any custom features you might want.

Shucks, wish I would have known yesterday. I had one in my boat, I had the white Lavro that fished with you yesterday I think. Anyway, I love mine, it has enough backbone to really set a hook whereas even the 1263 sometimes lacks. Sure you'll hook fish with softer rods but getting them to the bank is another story. I also use it for a mooching rod when I go to Sitka. E-mail me if you want to see it, my office is in Bothell. I had mine built by Greg's Custom Rods in Lake Stevens with Fugi guides, picked my colors, with my name on it for $180 I think but that was a couple of years ago now.

I can vouch for NCR. I just picked up a 1143 last week and it is one sweeeeet rod. I can't wait to get the 1025 too.

The prices are listed on the web site.

I had TH custom rods build a 1264 for me. I use it as a salmon mooching rod. I had Travis put Titanium guides on it and a longer butt section. It ran $180 last summer. Travis does an aweseome job on the rods he builds. I'd reccomend him to anyone.

Beezer- It was me behind you. Fella I was with took my last 2 pictures of me fighting the fish rather than the fish itself. Boy was I ever pissed, oh well my fault never go out without a loaded camera. I will prabanly see you up north and check out the 1264 if not I will shoot you an e-mail and probably come check it out.

We build a lot of 1264 rods.. it has more "guts" than the 1263 for those that want a little extra power. .its a great big river float rod..

I build almost exclusively with Rainshadow blanks, I really believe in their product or I wouldn’t put my name on them.

If your interested in pricing you can see the price sheet here:

I just had Gregg build me one of these a couple of weeks ago. It feels great and you can cast a mile. I have not hit any fish with it yet, I use it for a float rod. I do a lot of King fishing on the Vedder in the fall and this is the rod will be perfect for that.

It's a good rod I have used one several times.

Plenty of backbone
