Mooch, my mistake, the guy said he never saw a glass boat that needed Gluvit added. My buddy actually recoated it with fiberglass resin, I don't know if that is as tuff as gel coat.

Like I said I'm no expert but whether it's gel-coat or fiberglass resin I think we're talking the same thing. Much much different than Gluvit. Sounds like he's good to go.

By the way, now that you don't have to help your buddy get that other stuff off, maybe you'd like to come up and help me with my deck, my house, my barn, my................... maybe then we could squeeze in some fishing time together. What do ya say pal? laugh

Owner of 78 alumaweld db, stored outside, used hard. Read all opinions, then check as many guide sites as possible in Wash. and Or. and see what they're using.

I believe it's aluminum.
