I went on an adventure with my little guy today and we saw a number of neat things. First we saw a pheasant, then we saw our pet elk. Sorry FJ, couldn't get close enough to feed him.
Then we caught a nice native buck on a favorite zipper.
After we got done fishing we were checked by the fish cop and Ryan became a junior game enforcement officer.

Nice guy.
Then we headed back home and stopped by the HWY 12 boat launch in the Satsop where we ran into him again. This time we saw some ugly stuff. An alert fisherman had spotted a net stashed in the bushes in the lower section of the Satsop river. It was turned over to the Gamey.
Then the Gamey had a little show and tell of his own.
Luckily the Gamey caught the guy with the mono net. The net found by the fisherman was a small mesh, so some bonehead was risking jail time for a net that couldn't catch fish. I'm not sure what the poacher was thinking, it might have been a 4" net. The net did have the owner's name on one of the floats, though.

Anyway, no real cute pictures today, the pheasant was right next to the road, but flew as I reached for my camera, and the Emu's were too far away for a good shot.
Hopefully everyone else had a fun day, too.
