I'm done, now I can go fishin

After 10 years of guiding out of my '93 Alumaweld 21' SuperVee (a lot of days)
...I thought "I still like the boat alot, and don't want a boat payment....so I'll fix up the old war horse".

Started in Aug. by tradin out motors....'93 Merc 200 w/ red jet and '96 Merc 9.9 4 stroke kicker.
....with a '03 Merc 200 w/super pump and a '03 Merc 8 hp kicker.... Wow what a difference the new Merc 200 w/ super pump makes

Next, after a meger winter steelhead season on the Cowlitz...I was ready to continue my project.
Next came new outside half paint and '03 Alumaweld graphics, new zolotone inside paint w/ clear coat, new floor,seat henges,marine stereo w/ speakers,floor lights,bulge pump, new uhmw on my side guides.....and a new Coug sticker in the bow(thanks Denney)

I think it turned out pretty good and want to thank Lawerance and Tim for their help and TM for postin these pictures

To bad you put that coug sticker on there. After your next big season you will have to move to Alabama and be a bass fishing guide. The lucky part is you won't have to worry about having a good season for about 5 years!

Only problem I see with the Coug sticker is that you will hook the steelhead of your life, he'll come to the boat and sign a contract for the fight of your life, but as soon as you give him his signing bonus he'll jump in the boat and play dead until you kick him out....

Seriously, one beautiful ride though. Your right, it pays to take care of your stuff. I would never know that sucker was ten years old!

Geez, I was hopin' to get out in that boat this year.

Now I'm gonna have to scrape the mud outta my boots. Or should I just wear my slippers and bobbie socks? Should I bring my cordless vacuum cleaner with me? That boat just looks to new.

.... I needed to get boat off the trailer to replace the uhmw on the side guides on the trailer....
this is the Roza launch on the Yakima river....close to home.

The plan is to bloody the floor this week, our tribs open for springers.....don't worry bout your boots...let me know if that day works

Ok, I'll try to get there for the 18th then head to the Columbia for floatilla on the 19th.

Anywhere in the neighborhood I can stop by and get my boots polished? Or will ya have some blood in it by then?

I'll be towing my Willie boat so I'll have to find a place to leave it on the way over to wherever you are. Is Longview near the floatilla? Got in-laws there.

Maybe one of my floatilla partners could take it and do a prefish at Sand Island on the 18th? Because I have no idea where it is either.

Looks like Im gonna be lost all that weekend. But that the norm for me.

R.R. nice job on the boat it looks new,your going to love your new motors,I have the same on my boat,I have'nt gone full throttle yet.

Kelly, I've opened it up on the big C .............
on gps was clocked @ 54mph alone and
@ 48 mph with 5 in the boat....way faster than old motor and jump.

And when boondoggin using around 6-8 gallon less in a day....not having to run motor as hard.

Great job on the boat!!! I was wondering what material you used for your flooring. I am looking to rip some carpet out of my Sylvan and replace with something that is much easier to get blood out of. Any help would be appreciated.

JSteel, I went with the vinyl no-skid, Alumaweld
uses in thier boats the last 5-6 years.
Ordered it from Steven's Marine (800)225-7023

The marine plywood was still good( once it dryed out) and we were able to peal the old vinyl off and install the new.

Now when the rivers come back in shape...I'll work on blooding up this floor
