concerning the moniker....perhaps a liberal translation is in order, it's as close as I can come(ugh).....sounds like a social order of nut houses to me.

Liberal vs conservative

Question: You're walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small children. Suddenly, a dangerous looking man with a huge knife comes around the corner and is running at you while screaming obscenities. In your hand is a .357 Magnum and you are an expert
shot. You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family. What do you do?


Liberal Answer: Well that's not enough information to answer the question! Does the man look poor or oppressed? Have I ever done anything to him that s inspiring him to attack? Could we run away? What does my wife think? What about the kids?
Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand? What does the law say about this situation? Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me? Does he definitely want to kill me or would he just be content to
wound me? If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me? This is all so confusing! I need to debate this with some friends for a few days to try to come to a conclusion.


Conservative Answer: I shoot the Son-Of-A-*****!!!

I disagree with PMartin's results.

The liberal would determine if the man with the knife is a minority or part of the 'oppressed' in which case it's his own fault in some way. He wouldn't have a .357 in the first place and therefore he and his family would become a crime statistic.

The true conservative would have his bodyguard shoot the SOB and any other minority or part of the 'oppressed' that was in the area and then deduct the gun, bullets, and bodyguard off of his taxes.

Your grasp of (some) things is purely inspirational! I have been trying to find a catagory for myself for years and after all this time, you have put a name on me and I truly appreciate it.

In light of the fact that I have yet to find a problem that government has fixed, I am a CONSERVATIVE.

Woops, I'm not sure I think the war in Iraq is a good thing, well...... another problem the government is fixing (maybe).

All kidding aside I do appreciate your grasp of things, and your ability to reduce them to a level I can clutch to.

Most people fall in the middle of the political spectrum in the US. We're an oddity in that we lack a wide range of political views here, were as in most Western countries there is a much wider political spectrum. Just apart of our Unique character.

I tend to jump around, mostly Libertarian(classical liberal)- right wing without the religion- other than when it comes to the environment.

Hey B-Run, Pat and the other bang-bang types wouldn't see the humour, they'd probably start some Limbaugh-type rant, totally forgetting it was made up question.

Mooch, I tend to find that people who classify themselves as either group are more concerned about what they should think then actually try to think through the problem. For far too many it is easier to be told what to think then to think for themselves.
