Bob Dazed and Confused Registered: 03/05/99 Posts: 6367 Loc: Forks, WA & Soldotna, AK	Okay, the folks I'm currently with are getting really ancy about me getting off their server because of our bandwidth. So I'm gonna have to try to press this server change through very quickly in the next couple of days. The entire site, and especially the BB is gonna be down from time to time ... perhaps for an extended period as it takes me a long time to transfer stuff from this locale at 28.8 Sorry for any inconvenience, I'll try to make this happen just as quickly as I can! _________________________ Seen ... on a drive to Stam's house: "You CANNOT fix stupid!"

Don't forget to "backup" before you transfer those files! First, I have to set up a whole new board, make sure everything works, then transfer all the old stuff over. I will try to make things as quick and painless as possible, but you never know when you dive in. I had thought about having Infopop move it for me ... but it's over $600 to do so ... nutnbutlip Parr Registered: 10/24/00 Posts: 53	Hey Bob, You might try copying the content and databases to a USB harddrive at the server (source) instead of relying on the wire to do so. Not sure how much data you are pushing, but that would expedite things. If your destination is a mirror copy of your source at an application level, it might be as easy as the USB copy. Of course there are a ton of intricacies, but thought you might find that useful. Is there really no highspeed connectivity in Forks (satellite, cable, something..) nutn
