Heading over next week to visit family and wanted to float it for my first time, any information would be appreciated. I've scoped it out fairly thouroly by rode but never rowed it. Any fish advise would also be greatly appreciated.

This is a pretty easy float, and if you take your time you should be able to get through in about 6 hours. If you want to hit a few more holes, go up above Stinson to Lidle Bridge launch.

As far as rough water, it's a little tricky as you come in towards the Icehouse, particularly after you go past two bridges. Other than that, it's a great float with beautiful scenery.

Spend most of your time on the lower part though, closer towards the Icehouse. Hit the banks tight, that's the key!!

Thanks for the info, Ive also scoped it out from Ice House down and it appears to get quite a bit more technical. (Any piece of water with a fish ladder) but I've seen quite a few drift boats below Klikatat. I'm rowing a 17 ft Willie with many hours of experience. Whats the next run down like?

Umm sorry to disagree Syinson to icehouse is a very long float with at least Two spot that is very techincal. One just upstream of icehouse.

Stinson to Slide is an all day float and by going to icehouse your adding a few more miles. Maybe ok if your just floating but if your fishing runs for any length of time you'll have a long day and if your not careful be caught out after dark.

Scout what you don't know!

The river is running high right now. It is a late spring melt. I'm going trout fishing tomorrow instead of floating the river. Be careful!
