If it is a two fish per person limit and there are two people in the boat with three fish can you still have two rods out?

Depends on if there are salmon (food fish vs game fish) available and if you are fishing in the salt or fresh water.

well what is it a new rule or something but if you fish B-10 or big blue, theres 10 people on your boat with 10 rods out and all but one guy is limited, you can have 10 rods out till everyone on board has there limit. its something like that.

As stated in the Reg's

You May Not-
"continue to fish for SALMON after the adult portion of the daily limit (freshwater) has been retained, or after the daily limit has been retained for marine waters, except that where a saltwater license is valid for each fisher abord a vessel may continue to deploy angling gear or shellfish gear until the daily limit of food fish and shellfish for all licensed and juvenile anglers aboard has been achieved."

I beleive that FISHEN1 is referring to the salmon opener this weekend out in Area 11.

When on the salt fishing for salmon, all fishermen and women can fish until the boat limit has been retained.

Thanks for the information. I wasn't clear enough with my question, it is salmon fishing in the salt that I was wondering about. I most likely won't have to worry about that happening but I may get lucky enough to boat four fish sometime. I havn't gotten a copy of the new regs and didn't want to break the law out of ignorance. What about if steelhead are available?

two fish is two fish...no matter if its a mix... you cant have two of each...
