Taking the beautiful 1978 sears 12 ft. aluminum to a lake in Mossyrock this weekend for the maiden voyage. My brother-in-law knows where we're camping but what lake will we be fishing at. Is it Riffe or Mayfield? All he told me was that we'd be fishing for Kokanee. No downriggers so would a standard wedding ring tipped with maggots work? confused

I stopped by the fishing bridge at the upper riffle lake campground. They were getting a lot of kokes. Wedding ring with a maggot or a tip it with a piece of worm and corn.

On the lower lake, Mayfield, if you fish about 75 yards out from the shore along the state park your can pick up somenice rainbows with pop-gear and weddingring tipped with a worm. Add a small weight.

Neither lake has kokanee, Riffe has silvers so you need not worry bout soft mouths( rubber snubbers). Im guessin Riffe for silvers than.
