Anybody doin' well up on the sky? I've hit it a couple of times w/ no luck. I've only seen one fish caught too. All i've heard is bad. Hopefully it's still early, but if they don't show up by the second week in july i think we might be in trouble. Hopefully this run isn't a bust like the winters.

Loc: seattle wa,
went there yesterday, caught one little guy , fished hard all day but that was the only fish I touched ,been fishing the Sky for over 20yrs. and I have never seen it this dead at this point into the season . I do believe that there is a problem, but I can't figure out what has happened to the fish, I do know that the Sky was planted with a large smolt plant. there should be a lot more fish out there. confused

Very Slow...Lotsa kings in the pen though and rolling in the mid river. Might be worth a shot at those guys til' the steelies show. Ive only got one hatchery summer since it opened, and many hours logged... confused

Drifted High bridge to sulten yesterday. Hammerd the crap out of it only to hook one, play it for 5 min and then watch a violent headshake and a limp tadpolly floating on the surface. I plugged the living snot out of her and would say it is pretty dead. Im wondering if the drought of 2000-2001 greatly affected this fishery?

I've been lucky enough to put 8 on the card in 5 trips. Try where you'd not normally fish (real shallow water).

I "spooned" one about 8lbs. last night!!! The last 2 have come on a 2/5th Little Cleo. I forgot how "easy" it is to catch fish on spoons. That's all we used in BC (thanks Herzog), but I just kinda forgot about them until I saw this great looking fast (and shallow) chute. It was just beggin' for some hardware, and lo-and-behold, it has produced twice for me in the last 2 trips! Any other action out there?

Is it really this dead, or is everyone being tight-lipped? I might try it this weekend?!
