I love to fish in the salt and on the river. I love the outdoors, camping and all that, but MOST girls that I see that like fishing as much as I do look and act more of a man than I'll ever be. I know there are some good looking gals that like all this stuff but damn their good at hiding. Have all of the rest of you noticed this too? Or am I like way out in left field here. Oh well, my girlfriend gutted her first fish ( 24 lbs. King) last weekend that she reeled in all by herself at Seiku. She didn't even bat an eye the whole time I was explaining how to do it. So I guess I'll have to be content with making an outdoors woman instead of finding one. cool

Well, thanks for all the compliments for my gender??? slap

With any male dominated sport you're going to get the girls who are just a little too comfortable fitting in as one of the guys. But rest assured, there are attractive women out there that participate in outdoor activities. Fortunately, as you pointed out, they've all been hiding from you. banana banana banana banana

When I was a young man years ago, I thought I'd like to meet a fishing/hunting babe to grow old with. After being married for a dozen or so years to a nonfisherperson, I'd have to say I'm not sure I'd want it the other way now. I think that having some independent time is good for us both. I tried for years to get her interested in the outdoors and she played along like a good sport. I could just see that it would never be the same for her as it was for me. She is really great about letting me have the time without giving me too much grief, however I tend to push the envelope some laugh She listens to all my stories, and she always sounds interested. She never tells me no, or questions all the money I spend on gear. We teach together in the same building, and even eat lunch together everyday. I think its good to have some time apart too. I guess i'd say keep up the search, but dont limit yourself. Being compatable is more important than sharing the same hobbies. I have met lots of people that like to fish, but I couldn't stand to spend a weekend with them, let alone wake up next to everyday.... (which raises a whole new series of disturbing thoughts! eek )
