Are they teasing us again oir what? Leading the West with the best record again. Man this is bs but do you think they can go further when the real season starts this time? I wouldnt bet a dime either way but I sure hope they can! Just turned off Conan. He said Randall Simon of the pirates is the first guy to pound the sausage publicly since pee wee Herman. Guess hes right, if ya saw that replay on the tube.

They definitely need to get their bats in gear. I know it's a pitching/defense team, but too many players just can't hit. Jeff Cirrilo, or as I call him, The Third Out, has no business at all in the line up. Neither does McLemore, Collbrun, Mabry, Winn, or Wilson.

Nelson and Rhodes are overworked, they are tired at the all-star break. They don't have a closer (even if Kaz comes back). Their problem isn't offense, but if they don't make a trade for a legitamate closer they are going no where in the post season.

Laid down a wager with a friend last night. If the M's dont make a trade, they will be below .500 for their 2nd half record.
What do you guys thinks?

To say that Wilson has no place in the lineup seems pretty bizarre to me. Wilson is one of the most unselfish hitters I have ever seen. He is constantly bunting, hitting Sac flies, or trying to hit the opposite field to move a runner along. Most people don't look at the stats that show those things and it is too bad. Baseball is a team sport and Wilson always tries to do what is best for the team when he is at the plate.
I think it will be another loss in the ALCS again this year. Hope I am wrong.

1)Martinez will keep going right to the end. So will that Oriental guy.
2)Bull-pen will be firmed up and will hold water (barely)
3) Arron Sele will not be around to single handedly lose the post-season.
Result: Mariners make it to ALCS and lose in 7.

M's will be fine, baseball season is full of ups and downs. Lets not jump on their cases over a small downswing. I don't know which guy is more stupid the guy who thinks they should trade MVP candidate Boone or the guy who thinks this team that is at least above average in every part of the game ,will finish below 500 in the 2nd half.

Just heard Sweet Lou's press conference. What a great guy - wears his heart on his sleeve, loves his family, and baseball. One of the things that he said was that all of his stops in Baseball (KC, NY, Cincinnati, Seattle, & Tampa Bay) were great towns that he liked a lot. In my mind, it says more about how Lou approaches life. Welcome back Lou - you will always be the most important reason that we can have these discussions. You're one in a million.

Don't know if I would be too luvy-duvy regarding Lou. Guys like him can put on a sentimetal show the same way the Mafia does. Fact is, he left the Mariners with a year left on his contract. Hoping to jump ship to the Mets, he was, but they would not offer what Tampa Bay would. Gambled and lost and now has to spend a year's probation in Florida.

Isn't Edgar still batting about .310-315? Didn't Boone just re-sign with the M's after they didn't make the WS after winning 116 games?
Cirrilo does suck. I was concerned when they signed him after Colorado,Hell I could hit .325 in Colorado. I'm concerned with Kaz too,I have no confidence is his ability to close a game.
Hope it all comes together after the AS break, and they make a good playoff run. They don't have many more good chances left.
