i'm sure almost everyone has experienced the zoo during chum time, if you haven't put it on your list, it's just something everyone has to do at least once, but i was wondering if any fish are around in the middle of august...i'll be camping there on a buddies property right on the water in hoodsport and it would be real convenient to walk a couple minutes to the hatchery zone...if not, i guess i'll just have to drive down the road a few minutes to get into guaranteed fish...does anyone else besides me daydream all day at work about the kings showing up in their favorite local rivers SOON!! I CAN"T WAIT ANY MOOOORE!!!!

I was over in hoodsport yesterday and there were quite afew guys fishing the zone already.

There should be humpies then, they tend to be real skittish, if you plop your offering right in the middle of a school they will scatter.

i'm thinking about taking a trip for humpies next week sometime, and you're right about waiting for the kings to come in! i can't wait any longer!

by the way, is the skok worth fishing for pinks when it opens in august?

If the humpies aren't there already, they will be soon. Leave your salmon gear at home for the humpsters.......you don't need no stinkin' 12 or 15 lb test for them. Bring your light rod, some 6 lb test, and some pink jigs and prepare for some fun.

Oh, and bring a large amount of patience........you're not going to see a bigger crowd of goat-ropers than when the humpies hit the hatchery zone.

NO! dont even think about going to the Skok for humpies if you like hooks that stay out of your skin. There will be so many Yay-hoo's down there fishin' for kings and Humpy's I'd be suprised if you got one cast in before you got hooked in the rectum with a double set of treble's
