Anyone make it out this morning? If so, how did you do?

Wish I could have made it out. Looked like a perfect morning to be on the water. cry

This Morning was awesome!!!!
till sunrise we had about 5 on,
one nice 16lber to the boat.
No real action at the tide swing.
Great day to be on the water.
There were a lot of rookies out there,
had there downriggers on and they were trying to troll with an old Evinrude 90hp!!
I felt bad for 'em and offered my sea anchor to help slow 'em down. But you know how people can be so set in there ways.

Launched at 3:45, with the fowl stench of a dead seal eek at the 1st ave bridge.
Almost lost breakfast.

Dead seal or dirty salmon bins?

BTW, is Seattle PD still keeping everyone away from TODDS?

Thats's what we get for sleeping in. Lines in at 5:45, a shaker, didn't see a fish caught. Moved over to Westpoint and got a couple of nice silvers. PD workin Todds still. I want that job.

We got out around 6:15. My buddy caught his first chinook ever around 6:30 (see photo below). About 85' down on a white/glow plug. No more hits for the day and we packed it in around noon. Sure didn't see many fish caught but the fish checker said 60 chinook, 20 silvers, 1 pink and 1 sockeye for something like 100 boats.

The boats had sure cleared out by around 10 or 11 but there were plenty of them there when we got there. I found parking way south on the Ave. but I can't imagine what it will be like on Saturday and Sunday.

Let's try the E.B. fish count again. Came in about 3ish, over a hundred anglers, 50 fish, 25 of them chinook, a couple over 20,(mines don't count from area 11), and yeah, SPD did chase people away from the area when the bite came on. babble babble babble
