Just curious why there is such a discrepancy in the reports I am seeing in the paper reporting poor fishing at Ediz Hook (Port Angeles) and fantastic reports on the board and from the locals in Sekiu?

Nutn,

While it is typical for most salmon to stage at the west end of the straits before heading in, I'm thinking that there may be another factor to consider. That is the stats I'm hearing about the huge numbers of pinks headed for Canadian waters and the Fraser River. If this is true than it would stand to reason that the numbers of fish you see at SeeQ may not ever pass by PA at all. And of course, I also think it's still a little early for the main group of silvers yet. But even then, those silvers will still hold longer at NB and SQ than PA. And by the time they start really showing at PA they are heading home and PT, Marrow, Bush, No Pt will light up too.
Hold on they're coming. wink
