Anybody use Gamakatsu's brand of fishing line. If so what color and what did you think of it. What pound test did you use? What species were you fishing for?

I tried 4lb I believe it was clear on my ultra light a sales person at sportco swore by it seems like the knots broke easily personally I don't care much for their hooks either with all the hype on how sharp they are I haven't found one yet that didn't need to be sharpened also a few of the eyes on the hooks I tried weren't closed all the way probably should of sent them back to them but I didn't want to hassle with it kinda cool looking stickers that they have but my rig wont be wearing one till their products improve laugh

Friday night I re-spooled my knucklebuster with the G Power 17# co-polymer. It is the yellow color which provides good line visibility, but that doesnt really matter much to me. I dont think the fish care either. I caught three fish Saturday and it seemed to work fine. I use a swivel string and a 50# test leader above my dodger and bait on all my setups now anyway.

Thanks to whoever gave it out at my Blackmouth derby last February! Free is the best!

I''ve been using the G-power copolymer 8# in the yellow since they've come out and have done great for silvers and steelies on local rivers. Extra small diameter helps out alot when driftin' bait and hadn't blow up my line yet, but I use it with 10 ft. rods. what

Robert

p.s. guess if you're meat lining or fishn' in a crowd, use maxima to horse em' in, wouldn't need to finesse fish.
