I fished most of the day yesterday on my local river. Decided to avoid most of the crowds and float fish eggs in some of the slow moving water. Fish were everywhere but no takers. cry I tried different scents, two different cured eggs, but to no avail. I wonder since the weather just changed, if that could affect the bite. How many of you giuys float fish? Every time I did fish by someone I was always looked at curiously rolleyes Like what the heck are you doin.

I think perhaps the weather was a factor yesterday. I and a friend floated from Lewis St. to Tualco Rd. Saw lot of fish but caught only a few. We foul hooked more than fair. Thursday last week we caught 30 plus fish and foul hooked none. Using the same gear and tecniquesboth times.

In answer to your question, many of us float fish, but the uninitiated call it bobber fishing.

It's been my experience (for what its worth) that the 24 hour period before and after a major weather change (barometric pressure usually) is a poor time for the bite. I would expect that today is a pretty good day for fishing, especially in the rivers if some of this rain has found its way to them.

Must have been the weather change laugh

I fished Thomas Eddy and they were lockjawed, only hooked one yesterday!

Now that I am on Plumenjoyment, I will be entertaining myself at the local rivers!.........
