There seems to be alot of people cry'n about the conduct of the so called "fishermen" on the Puyallup River. All I can say is there
is not enough words to discribe the IDIOTS out there!!!

There also is quite a few people who think they can tell everybody what to fish for, how to fish for them and where to fish for that sought after fish. Most eveerone you meet has'nt been there for more than a couple of years when all this BS started. YES, YOU STARTED ALL THIS CRAP YOU ARE NOW CRY'N ABOUT!!!!

Anyone that has fished the lower stretch of the river for more than two or three years knows that almost every single person PLUNKED. Do any of these great wonderful people remember 200 cars, trucks, motor cycles packing every sqare inch of the lower end of the Puyallup? The only trouble was from the dust off the road.

I just feel bad for the old guys that taught me how to plunk, and really bad for the two ol' dudes that first taught me how to drift fish my favorite hole behind K-mart back in 1985. If those great folks are still reel'n, SORRY---------

I would have to agree. I've fished the river for seven years and have never seen this many people. I think it's because the meadia got word of a good salmon run and now there are many more people. I will say that the upper river, upstream of Sumner, has less poeple though and that they have more ethics or common sense. This year I have also seen more fish caught then ever before.

FLOSSING is the word for it. i've fished the lower puyallup for 10 plus years and it does suck to see what is really happening. i fished there today and seen the same poeple that left early in the day with fish, come back later to take more. personally i think they should close the river next season. it would'nt hurt.

Porter-

Have you ever called the poaching hotline for the losers you see snagging? Have you... Really?

Here is the number for you: 1-800-477-6224

You obvioulsy care about the river, do something about it.

I drive over the Puy on 512, 4-5 times a day. There's not much room left for the fish with all the anglers. Quite the site. Too many rats in the cage if you ask me. But, beer , it beats workin!

Hey timber did'nt know I was stepping on toes, I was speaking of the folks who complaining to me on the river last night. They said they read this forum.

I have posted here before but it was several years ago as poorboy in puyallup. I spent many a luch while at the backward B plant in Fredrickson. And sky, I must say yes I have called, encouraged others to call, and helped to pressure unethical people to leave and yet to see them return. One buddy, long hair B,

has made it part of every trip. There are alot of people who really try to make a difference, what I would like to see is some kind of a responce from the state.

From what I have heard, the gamies have been on the lower Puyallup. They are coming in their fishing gear and not their uniforms.

With all the fish that are in the river, it boggles my mind to think that anyone would have to resort to snagging. But that's what happens when you get a large group of people fishing together, you'll always have those who chose not to fish ethically or legally.

It's a bummer, but that's how it is. I'm going to enjoy the sport of fishing, and not let the snaggers get me down.

I have caught 8 silvers so far from the Puy/Carbon system. I always fish alone away from crowds and never stand in combat lines. Hmmmmmm, must be my style of fishing. You figure it out.

I was fishing down low last week when I noticed a guy standing on the other side of the river hiding in the bushes watching the line of fishermen. He was there for about 45 minutes and I think that only one other person saw him. Warden?? Who knows, but that would be my guess. Glad to finaly see them down there if it is.
