Aside from news media the only reading I do is either boring geeky stuff, fishing, or homebrewing rags.

Alan Colmes' new book is called " Red, White and Liberal"...I think I'll read it.

Grandpa2: I will make you a deal. If you read a current liberal best seller, I will read a current conservative best sell of your choice. Not a big sacrafice on my part as I routinly listen to Rush and read George Will. I think a person cannot value their beleifs too much if hes unwilling to listen to other views. I have, rarely, even changed my mind . . . a little.

So do I have to read Al Franken's book or is there another best seller written by a liberal? No not Hillary's she didn't write it. I'll read Red White and Liberal because Alan is atleast not a crazed fanatic. Could you really read something you disagree with and resist the urge to make fun of every word? Think about it.

Grandpa: Yes I can read things I do not agree with without constantly making fun of every word. I admit I often get frosted at what Rush says or at waht George Will says, but on rare occassion I find myself agreeing with them. For instance. George Will recently wrote a coulmn about what an awful mistake republicans made by electing fast hand Arnold. Anyway, if you are looking for a couple of book that I might recommend you can try these. "Thieves in High Places," by Jim Hightower, and "Stupid White Men" by documentary filmmaker Michael Moore.

I especially liked Stupid White Men.

And that attitude, my friend, makes you a true Gentleman, either liberal or conservative in my book.....
