Was out today... fish had a serious case of lockjaw. Marked a ton working bait and couldn't touch a fish. Tried every trick in the book! Matter of fact, couldn't buy a hit!

There's always tomorrow and Tuesday...

We only got a couple of shakers out at the brickyard in 8-2. If Downrigg'n is getting skunked, then I feel better.... I'm wondering if all the net activity is messing with their feeding/striking behaviors. The checker at Everett said that the netts allowed in 8-2 and 10, but not area 9.

I was going to blame my "skunked day" on lunar activity... Probably wasn't holding my mouth right as Grandpa used to say!

Hoping for light winds tomorrow!

Fished Area 9 on Saturday. A little lumpy but OK. LOST one ball about 15, two flashers about 11 and two spoons about 3. FOUND two BM about 8, two silvers (bright) about 8 and several chum released for the next guy. Glow green flashers, army truck coho killer and green GSB. Fishing on the deck, 130 to 150.

Made it out last week, I was able to get one 4lbs and a few shakers. I hit all the fish on green glo flasher and 4.0 green glo cyote spoon. I'll go out again this week if the rivers don't clear.

Fished hat island on friday. c & r'd a small silver and small blackmouth. Lots of bait showing but could'nt get in to fish my "hot spot" because of all the commercial crab pots. frown Hit Skachett head & west side of possesion on sat. Got an incidental chum(10lbs) at skachett and c&r'd a small silver and a small blackmouth on possesion. smile Very little bait showing there. Fished Elgier bay on sunday and we managed to pick up an 8lbr and a 6lber trolling just outside of the crab lines thumbs Lots of bait in area

Fished a zipper area in area 10 on Saturday. Marked fish both up and down. We caught a few shakers and landed some nice 23" bm. Released them to grow some more. We used dodgers and green white glow Coyotes and Cop Car Coyotes. We had a nunber of takedowns real deep 150-178. I wasn't fa st enough on the draw, so missed em. Sure had a lot of fun. Brought home some crab.

I fished area 10 Saturday, between Port Madison and Jeff Head, marked a ton of bait, caught a ton of shakers, lost a couple of nice fish. Green glow hotspots and green glow coyotes and coho killers were getting the fish to bite.

I have yet to get a keeper blackmouth in the winter. What I wouldn't do to catch some of the same chinooks now that I had to release in area 10 this summer...

I think 'mooches' story about 'bad boys in town' (Orcas), might explain the really slow blackmouth fishing. Feeding salmon seem to go into hiding when those big boys are around. wink
