Those fish he was one have got plenty of life still in them. I've seen them that colored coming straight out of the salt before. Everyones a critic anymore.

Hey, Bob, thats me fourth guy on the right....2nd place in the coho derby!

Keep on catchin, thats what us fisherman are all about.

I too have plenty of fish pictures of fish from the Dark side. Doesn't always mean they're not fresh. Just nicely unhook and let em swim away.

Actually some nice fish there Timber, it's sad to see the # of whiners there are picking at you as if they're a salmon themselves and know something.

Dark fish like that are common for FALL TIME when a majority of fish strains are Tule's....

Or this old BOOT that made a good smoker...

What timberman did not say is out of many many fish none were handeled, netted removed from the water!! my policy is usually break off the leader as soon as I can reach it and never touch the fish chrome or dark if at all possible. Those fish were touched and out of the water for about 5 seconds thats why the pic of the double was kind of blurry and the fish I was holding is heads down I have great respect for are resource and try to treat it accordingly so for all the skeptics believe me when I say that is why you don't see my picture plastered on the internet all the time. For instance today was a banner day of chrome steelhead(winters) chrome hog silvers and a couple of the biggest brightest kings I have seen In years no pictures but oh thanx for the memorys!!!PEACE, like bob said in another post their baacckk!!!

You know you could always selectively fish Timber and put on the corkies and hooks and just snag the bright ones!! The bright ones have all the energy and will live.. Leave those darkies alone... wink

See here like this...

Timberman,
Saw you in the store today, wanted to say hello and intro myself but General Zog was telling me another one of his fish stories. Boy can that guy talk. Was that your son with you?

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

Great pic Piper. Reminds me of the pic of me with my first steelhead....circa about 1973-74. No, I'm not showin' it. Sure was proud of that skank at the time, though. thumbs

Thanks Dan... wink

That was circa 1985... (Damn I'm getting old)

The kid standing next to me in the pic caught his first salmon as well and had it stuffed. Amazing what they can do with an airbrush (covered up all those mold spots).... But, he still couldn't hang it against a dark wall though :p

whohoo Kieth Parker and Timber,

Nice fish! I caught some darker ones but did not get pictures. They were too dark, would nt develop on film.

When the catching is good the catchers get catching bright dark or in between who cares there fish!

Those fish are enormous compared to the kings we get out of Lk. Ontario. We never see red on them either (at least I haven't)!

I can't get enough of looking at your photos!
