I am about to head over to the canal for some chumming from my pontoon boat. A couple of questions for you who know.
!. Is crabbing open over there?
2. Is there a site where I can get up-to-date recreational crabbing rules/seasons?
3. Is there a decent chance of getting some crabs around the Hamma Hamma to Hoodsport area when limited to a pontoon baot? I dont want to get more than a couple hundred yards off shore, maybe not that far with the predicted storms.
Thanks a lot fo any input.

Thanks Kramer!
What are you doing now that my favorite show ever has been cancelled? You were always my favorite character.

Surecatch,
What day are you going? I will be heading that way one Saturday in my pontoon boat (a green southfork). If you see me out there say hello. Wouldn't mind meeting you.

Fish Seeker:
I am retired, and my daddy told me when he retired that us old farts should not fish on weekend. Those are for the poor guys and gals who must work. I plan to fiah there either Monday and Tuesday, or if rains are real heavy, Wednesday and Thursday.
Sorry. I always like to meet P.P. folks. thanks to this board I have met 4 Salt, Lead Thrower and Beezer. All great folks. I already knew Snake Pliskin, Salma. Sparky and maybe some others.

Surecatch..... how do you carry crab traps on a pontoon boat? And how many can you carry? Picking them crabs out of the trap must be interesting. Can I bring my video camera? I believe area 10 is still open. Try the Kingston area. But 'tend them' or they may be stolen. ![wink wink](/forum/images/graemlins/default_dark/wink.gif)

Has anyone been Crabbing lately in area 10? Are the crab safe to eat? I went crabbing up north earlier in the season, but would like to try out here, especially since it's still open. Any advice on where to go with my ring nets, or should I pick up some pots.
thanks!
