I need to plan a late December early January two day guided steelehead trip in Washington. Give me your top spots. I always do the OP in March and April but am not familar with that area in Dec and Jan. Thanks for the help.

I would recommend riversnw. I have used him twice and am going for a third time in December to either the cowlitz or the lewis. The guides name is Bob he is first class, he uses top of the line equipment I gurantee if you use him you will not regret it. The OP is always a decent bet, mix of primarily hatchery fish and some wild fish (especially in two streams) in that timeframe.

With a drift-only scene, I think it's a little nicer trip than the other two rivers as well although they can be productive

I don't know about Bob the moderator, but like I said before if you want to fish the Cowlitz or down in that area I would recommend Bob at Riversnw.com. I don't know anything about Bob "the moderator" sorry.

I have fished with both Bobs and both are excellent guides..

December/January I would go with Bob Ball, the owner of this site, on the peninsula.
